Tom has 42 year of experience in the electrical and electrical-design fields and is currently serving as the KAHUNA Design IC&E Design Manager. He has experience in nuclear and fossil power plant layout, pharmaceutical, oil refining and gas plants, mining, machine design, and LV and MV switchgear layout. He has experience with engineering, construction and detailed estimating of projects. Tom has a working knowledge of N.E.C., ISA Standards, API RP500, AGA XF0277, NFPA 496, IEEE Standards, AutoCAD, MicroStation & PDS-EERaceway, Equipment Modeling, PDDraw, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant 3D and SPEL. He is a graduate of Managers Training Series and achieved the ‘Safety Trained Supervisor’ certificated from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BSCP). Tom is a champion, Developer and Coordinator of the ‘URS Co-Op Program’ at the URS Nuclear Center – a program to develop design talent to replenish an aging workforce. Tom also served as an academic advisor on three college boards.
